Issue 0 begins here http://industrialpowers.comicgenesis.com/d/20080626.html and goes to to http://industrialpowers.comicgenesis.com/d/20080707.html Issue 0.5 begins here http://industrialpowers.comicgenesis.com/d/20080714.html and goes to http://industrialpowers.comicgenesis.com/d/20080725.html This batch of filler came about as a result of a contest on the Comicgenesis forums, wherein one could enter one's comic characters into a beauty context, complete with swimsuit and formalwear categories, and three questions. I thought this was pretty funny, actually, and decided to participate. Some of the readers I have spoken with think Arrowflame is particularly hot, so she was a good choice for the "miss comicgenesis" entry. Happy Little Cactus is the only possible entry we could have made for "thing comicgenesis." To my complete astonishment, Happy Little Cactus is doing much better in the polls than poor Arrowflame, who has been deemed "beefy." Hey, she has to be a solid and strong girl to survive being anywhere near Pizza Guy! You can witness the competition here. (our contestants are both on page five because I procrastinate the stuff I actually have to do, so it isn't going to be any different for optioinal stuff.) Arrow in formalwear: As some of you are aware, on the Comicgenesis forums, they recently had a beauty contest for comic characters. I thought this was hilarious, and decided to inflict it on some of our poor, unfortunate inhabitants of Green Gardens, Arizona. Each entering character had to appear once in winter or formalwear, once in swimwear, and answer three questions. The talent section was represented by the faact that we were to list off any special abilities. This, of course, is Arrowflame overdoing the whole formalwear concept. I never figured her as one to go halfway on much of anything. I spent way too long drawing it, but it was fun. She answered the questions this way: Special abilities: "Well, I am a decent singer, and I play great guitar. But of course, what you prorably really want to know is that I can control fire. Hey, it has its uses." "My favorite flavor is cranberry, especially if there's vodka in it." "My role models are many. I mostly look up to musicians who are almost gods in the industry, very talented, and still manage to be real, and not sellouts. People who don't forget why they're doing whatever it is they set out to do are the people I respect. I particularly admire the guys from Iris. They're great musicians, great people, and still find time to hang out in Green Gardens, Arizona." "My life goal. . . you know, technically, I'm too young to even have answered the first question the way I did, so I have a few things I might like to do, but haven't decided. I never want to give up my music, and balancing that and my new powers will be a trick and a half. Maybe that's a goal in itself- be a music goddess and yet, still have time to make the world a better place somehow, in a real, tangible way." So, anwyway, for those of you who told me she was hot- there ya go. --Kari |
